Our 1st Blog

Us in Kentucky
So, It's December 1st...24 more days until Christmas...And we're trying this blogging thing. We've previously been members of Myspace, and am converting over to this now. We'll see how it goes...I'm not totally sure how to do anything on here, but, I was a total whiz on Myspace. So, hopefully, as time goes on, this will progress.

We're getting ready for Christmas! We decorated the house and front yard this weekend. I'm having a holiday party this weekend for some of my co-workers. Trying to think of everything that needs to be done, and well, should probably be doing some of it, instead of writing on here...oh well. It'll get done...probably won't sleep much this week, but, it'll get done.

We recently visited Tims family in Kentucky. Tim was there for 3 weeks helping his parents get their house ready to sell. I joined him the last 5 days. It was cold for most of the time we were there. OF COURSE the last day we were there, it was the nicest day the whole trip for either one of us, with a high of 54 degrees. When I landed in Louisville the evening of Nov. 18th, it was 27 degrees....60 degrees colder than it was when I left Tucson that afternoon....BRRR.....It even flurried a little bit my 2nd night there. But, it was nice to visit with his parents and grandparents. We learned a new card game with his grandparents, Up & Down the River. It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but, I came in 3rd place, and beat his dad, so that's all that mattered to me. LOL!! Tim's parents are selling their 144 acres of beautiful pastures and farm, to move back to Tucson to be closer to us & the rest of the family. (Man, what are they thinking...?? Ha Ha)! Tim & his Dad are going into business together. Keep your fingers crossed that it all works out soon.

Our Thanksgiving was quiet. My brother & sister in law surprised us and came to visit for the day from Scottsdale. It was good seeing them. We should be seeing them again this coming weekend, so Bubby (my brother) can claim his birthday presents. None of us have grown out of that, no matter how old we get.

Today we had a photo shoot at our house with us and the dogs...well, we did the photo shoot ourselves. I had this brilliant idea to try to get a family photo with all of us for our Holiday cards this year. It didn't go toooo bad, but, it wasn't the easiest thing to accomplish either....Getting 4 dogs to co-operate (in costume, nontheless), is not an easy task. But, we got through it....

Well, other than all of that, we're just keeping busy and getting ready for the holidays. Tim's parents will be here on Dec. 13th to spend Christmas with us.

'Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We'll be chatting with you soon!

Hurray you did it! It looks great!

I don't know if I could leave those 144 acres. It looks amazing! All for what? Dirt and cactus? Well I guess you guys are a plus.

Oh and the family pic. Looks like Bertha got a little sick of the whole thing. Ha ha! I think that's Bertha with her hat over her eyes! FUNNY!
